Changes to our Branch Network

Over the past twelve months your Credit Union has implemented a number of changes to see continued growth and innovation that has allowed us to offer more competitive products, new technologies and remain relevant in a highly competitive market.

We’ve also welcomed over 11,000 new Members in to our community with the merger of ECU which saw the addition of eight branches and two agencies in to the network, including a branch in Townsville’s CBD.

These changes are all positive and there is a need to be constantly reviewing the organisation to ensure we can continue to service our Members needs in the most relevant way.

We are committed to continually improving the services and products that are on offer to our Members and regularly review the relevance of what is being offered.

Today we announce a change to our branch network with the closure of our Newstead Branch in Brisbane, with the lease inside the Energex Building being relinquished at the request of Energy Queensland; and the Townsville Hospital Kiosk Branch, following the merger with ECU which resulted in the addition of a new Townsville CBD branch.

Both locations will remain open until Friday 22 December and Members who use these branches regularly have been notified from today.

Both Newstead and the Townsville Hospital locations are within 3.5kms of other branches which offer greater services, easier access and more convenient operating hours.

We are currently consulting with our Staff with a view to identify alternative positions within Queensland Country.
