Blackbutt and Tully agency closure

Queensland Country Credit Union will close our agencies in Blackbutt and Tully on 29 June 2018.

This decision follows an extensive review of our operations in these towns and is a strategic move away from the agency model.

Other alternatives were carefully considered, such as opening full-service branches in Blackbutt and Tully, however the demand for financial services would not achieve the level of business activity needed to sustain our business in these locations.

Members of both locations have received advance notice of our plans to close the agencies.

In both cases, Queensland Country’s association with the Bank@Post scheme will allow Members who hold an eligible card and require face-to-face banking transactions to continue to do so at their local post office.

For other transactions, Members will retain the ability to use Queensland Country’s Contact Centre, the national network of ATMs, point-of-sale terminals, internet banking and phone banking.

We would like to thank the South Burnett Regional Council, and the Tully Canegrowers for their support in operating the agencies on our behalf, and we appreciate the strong relationship we have enjoyed over many years.

Queensland Country Credit Union is in a strong financial position and remains committed to our Members and the communities in which we operate.
