This International Women’s Day, Queensland Country Credit Union is once again celebrating their recognition as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality.
A smooth succession will take place at the helm of Queensland Country Credit Union in March when Aaron Newman, the current Chief Executive Officer of subsidiary business Queensland Country Health Fund, replaces Aileen Cull in the financial services group’s top job.
The Thistlewaites were so excited to add to their growing family. Mum Riona, dad Craig, and their children Emmett and Molly couldn’t wait to meet their expected new addition, a baby boy they’d already named Finn.
In 2017, Ollie was a newborn when he had to undergo surgery on his perforated bowel. His mum Meg, dad Lucas and Ollie’s brother Levi travelled from their home in Mt Isa to Townsville and stayed at Ronald McDonald House for ten weeks whilst Ollie recovered in the adjacent Townsville Hospital.
When Donna and Pierre realised their little boy Arthur (Artie) was not himself, they did what any parents would do and whisked him off to their local doctor in Atherton on the Tablelands. Little did they know this check-up would lead Donna and little Artie to be on the 1st available Royal Flying Doctors Service to be flown immediately to Townsville where he would be assessed by the paediatric team.
Today we remember and celebrate the life of our founding Chairman Cliff Jury, late of Brisbane, formerly of Mooloolaba and Mount Isa, who passed away peacefully, aged 97 years. Dearly loved Husband of Margaret (deceased) and Father of Glenys, Sherrill (deceased) and Leone. Loving Grandfather of four, Great grandfather of 10.
